A new fashion label Lalesso is launching summer collection in the UK |
A new fashion label LaLesso is bringing trendy and sexy clothes for the summer season. Interesting is that the company manufactures in Kenya and is using cotton, that is hand washed in the Indian Ocean before being individually handcrafted into Lalesso creations.
The whole summer collection presented by Lalesso (Lalesso is a Kenyan word for the traditional colourful clothes worn by East African women) is romantic and sexy with an emphasis on colour. The collection includes dresses, skirts and bikinis. The clothes are great for summer holidays but everyone who likes bright colours will find the clothes simply irresistible.
The fashion label, that wants to share with the world a hint of East Africa in some fun and stylish clothing, is using the unrecognised talents of local seamstresses and tailors. Lalesso also aims to increase their employees’ standard of living.
“We hope to encourage all employees to eventually move on from employment with Lalesso and start their own businesses, where we can then employ different tailors and set them up. We wish to eventually establish some form of a cycle,” said Lalesso's co-founder, Olivia Kennaway.
“We are extremely interested and concerned about education and due to the serious education problem in Kenya, we hope to establish some form of education-based charity in the near future,” she added.
Lalesso isn’t only a fashion label. It’s the whole idea of making light, colourful clothes and helping people in Kenya at the same time. For more information visit www.lalesso.com
