Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has parted ways with Victoria’s Secret |
Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen had parted company with lingerie retailer Victoria’s Secret and has signed a multi-million dollar deal to become the new face of cosmetic giant Cacharel’s new fragrance Liberte.
“Gisele Bundchen embodies perfectly our fragrance Liberte. She stands for the freedom and independence of young women,” Alexander Keller, a spokesperson for Cacharel Perfumes Germany has said.
“I am so happy and so grateful that I am in a situation, where I can be myself, speak out openly, can do what is important to me and have the freedom to live my life in a way that I can be content with it. I think Liberte is a very strong word and a cool project. Everybody should work on being free. That should be everybody’s mission for 2007: Work on being free!” Bundchen added.
The Supermodel will appear in Cacharel’s television and billboard campaign that will soon be shot on top of Tenerife’s impressive 3,715 m Teide volcano.
Gisele Bundchen, 26, has parted ways with Victoria’s Secret after seven years, reportedly so that she can launch her own line of underwear with H&M.
“Gisele has been in talks with H&M for a long time, but for legal issues she has to wait for her Victoria’s Secret contract to end to start the project,” the New York Times reported.
Gisele Bundchen is the world’s highest paid supermodel and has been the face of a variety of advertising campaigns of such fashion houses as Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Versace, Céline, Givenchy, Lanvin, Guerlain, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Earl Jean, Chloé, Michael Kors, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria’s Secret.
