Supermodel Kate Moss to launch her own perfume |
 British supermodel has reportedly signed a fragrance deal with Coty Inc. to develop and market her own line of signature fragrances. The line created by Kate Moss, which will include eau de toilette, eau de perfume and ancillary products is set to debut in autumn 2007. Initially the line will be launched in Europe, Australia and the Middle East before being extended to Latin and North America.

This has made her a leading beauty face of the new millennium, said Bernd Beetz, CEO, Coty Inc. “There is no one better to embody a new fragrance than Kate, who epitomizes the look and feel of today’s fashionistas. We are very excited about this fragrance collaboration and look forward to a long and fruitful partnership,” he added.
“For me, Coty is the ideal partner to create my own scent,” Moss has said. “I’ve been delighted to work with Coty over the years and am pleased to collaborate with them on my first fragrance.”

The fragrance venture with Coty extends Moss’ professional relationship with the company. Supermodel is the face of the brand’s Rimmel line of cosmetics.
Kate Moss became one of the most popular models of the 1990s, appearing in hundreds of magazine spreads and in popular ads for Klein and Versace among others. But she also gained a reputation for a stormy personal life, culminating in her visit to a London rehabilitation clinic in 1998 and then a further brouhaha in 2005 when the Daily Mirror printed pictures of Kate sniffing cocaine.
