 Key beauty trends for spring and summer include: colored eye shadow, stained lips, rosy cheeks, strong brows, flawless skin and voluminous and out-of-control hair.
This season isn’t only about bright clothes; bright is also make-up for the spring/summer 2008. We saw bright eyes at Karl Lagerfeld, Richard Nicoll, Missoni, Sonia Rykiel and Anna Sui. You should definitely buy couple of different shades to mix up, experiment and get different looks. Bold colours like blue, green or yellow are hot for spring but pastel colours as seen at John Galliano and Maxmara look pretty and delicate and are also summer staple. We saw smoky eyes inspired by Amy Winehouse look on the catwalk as well.
The new lip looks for spring are bold. From avant-grade green and blue
at Vuitton and Valentino, strong red at Todd Lynn and claret at
Dolce&Gabbana, to glossy cerise at House of Holland. We can forget
about nudes this season, it’s all about experimenting with bold colours.
 Skin is clean, lean and flawless for spring/summer 2008. Models at Michael Kors and Donna Karan looked fresh with their cheeks brushed with bronzer and had that sexy ‘kissed by the sun’ look. At Matthew Williamson and Diane von Furstenberg models radiated a fresh and healthy glow with some rosy colour in their cheeks.
We’ve seen strong brows, that give a face more youthful look, all over the last season runways and now they are carrying over to spring and summer 2008.
We can forget about straightening irons this spring and summer. Models on the runways had this sexy and fresh ‘I haven’t combed my hair in few days’ look. Voluminous, sculpted, oversized and out of control hair are very popular this season. We also saw lots of flowers pinned into models hair on the catwalk. Short hair look is also very trendy for spring/summer 2008.
