Lindsay Lohan enters Rehab |
Lindsay Lohan’s publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnick has confirmed that actress has checked into rehab. The young star said in a statement: “I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health. I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time.” Us Weekly magazine has reported that Lohan entered the high-class Wonderland Center on Wednesday afternoon.
 Lindsay Lohan’s mother has also spoken out about her daughter’s situation: "I'm so proud of her. She's really in a good place right now, spiritually and mentally," she said. "She's 20 and she's solid, and she's doing what she needs to do. I don't know that many people who are that secure. It's all about her, and getting back on track. She's fine - she's amazingly fine."
Even if Lohan’s mother says there’s nothing to worry about, it’s not the first time we hear about Lohan’s who is just 20 having problems with alcohol abuse. In December star’s publicist confirmed to The Associated Press that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Soon after that Lohan told People magazine that she had been going to the meetings for a year.
”I haven't had a drink in seven days. Or anything,” she said to People. “I'm not even legal to, so why would I? I don't drink when I go to clubs. I drink with my friends at home, but there's no need to. I feel better not drinking. It's more fun. I have Red Bull.”
Lidsay Lohan has lately been filming the thriller I Know Who Killed Me, and a movie production had already been on hold due to Lohan's recent appendix surgery. Lohan’s publicist has said that actress is not ready to return to work.
”I Know Who Killed Me, like all films, has insurance,” Zelnick said. “In Lindsay's case, she has a good 13-hour work day. The character she plays requires a good deal of physicality and she's not yet healed and not yet ready to return.”
