Supermodel Kate Moss and Pete Doherty tie the knot in Thailand |
 Supermodel Kate Moss and rock star Pete Doherty have reportedly tied the knot at a New Year's Day ceremony in Thailand. The couple exchanged vows at a six-star hotel on the Thai island of Phuket. Reports claim that Moss wore a white Galliano shift dress, while, Doherty, wore an all-black linen suit and pork-pie hat.
Although the couple's Buddhist wedding will not probably be recognised in the UK. One report has claimed that the pair will be holding another ‘real’ wedding later this month. A friend of the couple reportedly said that the ceremony in Thailand was not a formal one, claiming: "It is much more likely to be a symbolic gesture to show everyone just how serious they are about each other.”
Pete Doherty is a musician who has become well known to the public mainly because of his addiction to heroin and crack cocaine and frequent arrests. He is currently serving a two-year supervision order after being found guilty on drugs charges last year.
Kate Moss became one of the most popular models of the 1990s, appearing in hundreds of magazine spreads and in popular ads for Klein and Versace among others. But she also gained a reputation for a stormy personal life, culminating in her visit to a London rehabilitation clinic in 1998 and then a further brouhaha in 2005 when the Daily Mirror printed pictures of Kate sniffing cocaine.
Supermodel is also a mother of daughter Lila Grace, whose father is Jefferson Hack. During her pregnancy, she posed nude for a near life-size portrait called "Naked Portrait 2002," which sold for around $6.5 million at Christie's auction house.
Kate can often be found on "Best Dressed" lists, thanks to her very urban look that crosses bohemian chic with classic femininity.
