Eva Longoria opens Harrods winter sale |
Eva Longoria arriving at the famous Knightsbridge store in a green carriage pulled by two black horses, has opened Harrods winter sale in London. The Desperate Housewives star arrived wearing a Dolce And Gabbana black minidress, white Jasmine di Milo coat and stilettos by Christian Louboutin.
Hundreds of shoppers queued up outside the Harrods, waiting to catch a
bargain and to see the beautiful Eva Longoria. Inside the store, Eva
stood on the first-floor balcony with owner of the well known
department store, Mr Al Fayed, waving to the 50 customers who had been
let inside first.
"I hope you guys are ready to shop!" she shouted. "Thank you for having me. This is actually my favourite department store."
Eva admitted that she also is a big bargain hunter: "I still can't bring myself to buy a $500 cashmere sweater," she said. "I'm definitely a bargain-hunter when it comes to the New Year sales. But I will spend money on shoes!"
Previous celebrities to open the famous sale include former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham in 2002 and actor Richard Gere in 1994.
Eva Longoria has recently got engaged to boyfriend Tony Parker. The couple first met in the San Antonio Spurs locker room more than two years ago. He proposed on Nov. 30, presenting her with a five-carat-plus emerald-cut diamond ring. The couple are due to tie the knot in French castle in July 2007.
