Beyonce tops AskMen’s Most Desirable Women list |
Beyonce Knowles has been named the No. 1 fantasy girlfriend, according to AskMen’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women of 2007. Next on the annual list are actress Scarlet Johansson, 2006’s winner Jessica Alba, supermodel Adriana Lima, actress Jessica Biel, Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, pop singer Shakira, “Access Hollywood” host Maria Menounos, actress Angelina Jolie and actress Elisha Cuthbert.
 More than 8.5 million AskMen.com readers took part in the global vote and were asked to consider qualities beyond sex appeal and beauty, such as “intelligence, humour, charisma and ambition,” according to the website. Annual Top 99 Most Desirable Women list debuted in 2001.
Beyonce Knowles, who is planning to release her third studio album in mid-2007, has recently stared in Dreamgirls, the film adaptation of the hit 1981 Broadway musical about a 1960s singing group. Beyonce was nominated for two Golden Globes Awards for the film – “Best Actress - Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” and “Best Original Song” for “Listen”. Dreamgirls is nominated for eight 2007 Academy Awards, including “Best Original Song” for “Listen”.
