Actor Clive Owen to be a new face of Lancome |
Clive Owen has been chosen to be a new face of Lancôme’s new men’s range. British actor, who will promote Hypnose Homme fragrance and anti-ageing skin creams, was chosen not only for his good looks, but also because of his acting achievements and work ethic, said Odile Roujol, general manager of Lancôme International.
 “The way he has built his career so far, privileging the quality of the director rather than the high-profile nature of a role, makes us feel very confident in the fact that if he chose to accept this collaboration with Lancôme, then it truly means our partnership was meant to be,” Roujol said in a statement.
The ads with Owen are due to debut in the spring and will include a TV campaign for Hypnose Homme, were actor and Lancôme model, Daria Werbowy, stroll through a maze of glass panels, walking romantically toward each other.
Clive Owen isn’t the first celebrity to appear in Lancôme adds, other well-known faces of cosmetic giant included Uma Thurman and Isabella Rossellini. Top models Daria Werbowy and Shalom Harlow are currently Lancôme’s spokeswomen.
Clive Owen, who was nominated for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe and BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film version of Closer, has recently starred in the film ‘Children of Men’.
