Australian singer Kylie Minogue chosen for H&M beachwear campaign |
Pop superstar Kylie Minogue has teamed up with the Swedish clothing company Hennes and Mauritz to introduce a swimwear line called, “H&M loves Kylie.” The singer will appear in the ad campaign for the line of 15 styles, that will be available at H&M retailers worldwide in mid-May. The collection’s theme is Australia.
“When we think of Australia and glamour, we think Kylie, who is such a stylish person,” H&M design head Margareta van den Bosch said in a statement.
H&M said 10 percent of the proceeds from Minogue’s line would be donated to the WaterAid charity.
“It has been a great experience to work with H&M on creating this summer range,” Minogue said in a statement. “To me it is all about summer indulgence, effortless chic and lots of fun,” she added.
The photos for the campaign featuring Kylie were taken in Mexico, but after that they were stolen and offered to The Sun for $125,000.
“A shadowy figure called Franco said we should fly someone to Pula in Croatia to collect them. But we immediately tipped off Kylie and the photographers,” the paper reported.
Madonna launches her new designs for high street store H&M this month and such designers as Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney designed their collections for the company in the past.
