Lily Allen will design range of clothes for fashion chain New Look |
 Singer Lily Allen is set to design a range for the British high street retailer New Look. The range, titled Lily Loves, will feature six dresses, two pairs of shoes and some brightly colored accessories. Clothes designed by English pop star will be available in stores in May. Lily Allen will be featured in the campaign photographs for the collection.
The singer is known for her characteristic fashion sense that combines ball gowns with sneakers and heavy gold jewellery. New Look’s Sarah Walter’s has said, “When she was breaking last summer, we thought she was very different, and everyone was picking up on her style, particularly the big prom dresses. It’s perfect timing, as we’re selling a colossal amount of dresses,” she added.
Lily Allen, who was nominated for four Brit Awards but walked away with none isn’t the first celebrity, who has decided to move into fashion design recently. Madonna launches her new designs for high street store H&M next month and supermodel Kate Moss is set to design her collection for the retailer Topshop.
Lily Allen is known for songs such as “Smile” and “LDN”. She is the daughter of actor/comedian Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen. Her single “Smile” reached number 1 on the UK singles charts in July 2006. She was nominated for four Brit Awards: Best British Single, Best British Album, Best British Female and Best British Breakthrough Act.
