Actress Rachel Bilson to design junior sportswear line for DKNY |
 American actress, Rachel Bilson, is collaborating with DKNY Jeans to launch her own junior sportswear line called Edie Rose. She will also star in the advertising campaign for the range.
Rachel Bilson, who has become one of Hollywood’s best dressed young stars in the last few years and is the muse to US designer Zac Posen, first contacted DKNY Jeans to express an interest in working with them. “This is something that I have been interested in doing for such a long time,” Bilson told WWD. “I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity for it to be done right.”
The collection will include 15 pieces when it launches in September, including button-down tops, sweaters, jackets, tees, dresses, and dark wash jeans in a black, white, and yellow color palette. The entire line will wholesale between $19.50 and $49.50 per piece.

Actresses Penelope and Monica Cruz to design a collection for Mango |
 Actress Penelope Cruz and her younger sister Monica will design a 25-piece autumn/winter 2007 collection for Spanish women’s fashion chain Mango. Penelope and Monica Cruz will also star in Mango’s fall advertising campaign, which will be shot next month by celebrated Spanish photographer Nico Bustos.
The new Mango line will consist of jackets, tops, T-shirts, pants and number of accessories. The new range is expected to be much larger than the current collection for Mango by model, actress and fashion designer Milla Jovovich.
